Quote a caller in under 2 minutes
The short version: Give a caller a price before they hang up — the whole quote in about two minutes.
Before you start
- You’re signed in with the Office role. You see prices and quotes — not expenses or crew pay.
Steps
- Ask the four questions
Pickup address, delivery address, move date, and rough size (studio, 2-bedroom, and so on). That’s enough to start.
- Tap New quote in the Jobs tab
Enter what the caller just told you. Keep them on the line — this takes under a minute.
- Build the estimate in one tap
The estimate builder prices the job from what you entered, including any accessorials the caller mentions — stairs, long carry, packing.
- Read the number, then send it in writing
Quote the price on the phone, then text or email the written estimate before you hang up. Written beats verbal every time.
If it didn't work
- Caller won’t give details → quote a range and mark the written estimate as a ballpark. A range now beats a perfect quote tomorrow.
- Price looks off → check the accessorials and the mileage. Fix the inputs and rebuild — don’t hand-edit the final number.
- Caller wants it in writing later → the estimate stays on the job. Send it from the job whenever.
